Title: Realistic Design Outdoor Temperatures
Author: Berg-Hallberg, Eva
Appeared in: Building research & information
Paging: Volume 13 (1985) nr. 5 pages 310-317
Year: 1985-09
Contents: In this report from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, the author considers the importance of time-periods, both when calculating for design outdoor temperatures and for the effect on the indoor climate from the characteristics of modern buildings. In particular, the time constants suggested for the 'building' effects in the building codes may be too low, leading to heating systems which are oversized. The paper was first presented at the symposium by CIB working commission W17 on 'Heating systems in practice'.
