Determination of the concentration of alkyllead compounds in fish and water

Title: Determination of the concentration of alkyllead compounds in fish and water
Author: Neves, A. G.
Allen, A. G.
Harrison, Boy M.
Appeared in: Environmental technology
Paging: Volume 11 (1990) nr. 9 pages 877-882
Year: 1990-09
Contents: The presence of di-, tri-, tetraalkyllead and inorganic lead compounds has been investigated in both fresh- and seawater and in fish taken from the North Sea. of 123 fish analysed, 15 (12%) were found to contain measurable alkyllead. Ratios of concentrations in fish + water indicated preferential uptake of alkyllead species relative to inorganic lead. Detection limits for individual compounds were between 0.03-0.44ng Pb g-1 (fish) and 0.1-1.0ng Pb 1-1 (water).
